The Guest of Honor publication is a 40 page, double-sided book modeled on the old Ace doubles. It is the same format and size as the Progress Reports. Side 1 contains an original story written for this publication, "Grandfather Sam" by Dr. Ben Bova and an original story written for this publication by Harry Turtledove, "A Different Vein" along with an article, "The Four Stages of Fandom" by Dr. Bob Passovoy, and several pages of Excerpts from Anne and Bob Passovoy's All Star Fannish Cookbook, edited by Robin Passovoy with artwork by Joe Mayhew. The middle piece is a Baen books ad drawn by Bob Eggleton. I call the ad, Toni the BEM, or as Steve Silver said when he saw it, "Toni the Cathulu!" The other side is "The Bob Eggleton Sketch Book - to color."
Covers of both sides have color artwork and color headings and titles like an old Ace double including the garish yellows and reds and bright blues. The cover of the story side has a habitat satelite in space. The cover of the sketch book side has a dinosauroid in a space suit. The first page, inside in each direction, also has a color drawing by Bob Eggleton. One inside page is a small dinosaur in a patch of roses - for the sketch book. The other is an original drawing by Bob of Ben Bova's character, Sam Gunn.
All attending members get one copy with their registration packets. If they wish to purchase more, they may do so at sales-to-members for $1 including tax.
