Hal's "real" name is Harry Clement Stubbs. He also paints under the name George Richard. giving him a second alias and making him a triple threat. He holds degrees in astronomy, chemistry, and education, and is a former high school teacher. He's also handy with a camera as you can see from the front of this card.
Hal's best-known work, Mission of Gravity, is well regarded for both its exercise in building the unique planet Mesklin, as well the entertainingly alien Mesklinites who live there.
