Amy Thomson

Born: October 28, 1958 in Miami, Florida
First Publication: Virtual Girl, Ace, 1993
John W. Campbell Award: 1994
Amy asked if she could be our official rookie card, and here she is! She's been interested in science-fiction for a long time, as you might guess from the fact that she was the treasurer for the Ransom-Everglades High School Science Fiction Club. Still volunteering today, she's on SFWA's Election Committee.
She was a finalist for the Phillip K. Dick Award for The Color of Distance in 1996.
Amy lives in Seattle with her husband, Edd Vick, and her Offical Writer's Cat, Rosalie the Wondercat. Among other personal details, she tells us that she:
Once Fathered Chicken
Occasionally Known to SMOF

"Question the dominant paradigm."

Card 28 was issued at Boskone 34, Framingham MA, February 14, 1997
